Two persons have died when a tractor turned sideways on the roadside in Dewahi Gonahi municipality of the Rautahat district in southern Nepal on Monday night.

The victims have been identified as Kabindra Patel and Govinda Patel, residents of Dewahi Gonahi municipality-4, inform the police.

The vehicle (Na 4 Ta 1507) had turned sideways on the roadside at a dam of the Lalbakaiya river in Dewahi Gonahi-4 a few minutes before midnight.

There were four people onboard the vehicle. The third person, Rakesh Patel, is reportedly critically injured and is undergoing treatment at a Birgunj-based health facility.

The Patels were taking the tractor back after ploughing their farm.
